Submitting an app

Submit an app walks you through five steps. The list on the left shows which ones are finished.

#The five steps

  1. App. Icon (square, 512 × 512, at most 256 KB), name, short description, category, age rating, full description of at least 50 characters, 1 to 5 screenshot links, and whether it uses UpWallet money. Real money payments are not allowed.
  2. Code. Upload your code, link the repository, or both, and pick a license. Uploads: up to 20 files, 25 MB each and 60 MB together. Uploads that are not sent are deleted after 24 hours. Repositories can be on GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or Codeberg.
  3. Version. A version number like 1.0.0, the https address where the app is hosted, and what is new.
  4. Data and support. What data the app keeps and why, plus a privacy policy link and a support link.
  5. Check and send. Look over the summary, tell the reviewer how to test the app, tick the three boxes and send it.

You can have up to 10 apps.

#Drafts save by themselves

  • Your answers are saved as a draft while you type, and again when you switch tabs or close the page. The top right corner shows when it last saved.
  • Come back to Submit an app (or New version) and the draft fills itself in, on the step you were on.
  • Start over deletes the draft. Files you uploaded stay attached.
  • The draft is deleted once the app is sent. Drafts are saved to your developer account, so they follow you to another computer, and are deleted after 30 days without changes.
