Using Uplink
The dashboard
Pages you cannot use at your level are hidden. The sidebar groups them like this.
#Server
- Overview. Players, queue, staff in the game and clocked in, players over time, who is playing by team, and the latest activity. Check connection asks ER:LC right now and shows what it says. Until you are set up, it also shows the Get set up list.
- Live players. Everyone in the server with team, callsign, wanted stars and last known street, and the staff on duty. Warn or kick from the row.
- Map. Everyone in the server as a dot on the ER:LC map, live. Drag to move, scroll or pinch to zoom, and click a dot or a name to see who it is and run commands on them. More below.
- Logs. Joins, leaves, kills, staff commands, mod calls and alerts for the last 14 days. Search and filter, and export them as a spreadsheet.
#Moderation
- Moderator panel. One simple page to moderate from: pick who, pick what, say why (moderators and admins). More below.
- Cases. Every warn, kick, ban, jail and note, and whether the game did it. More below.
- Player lookup. One player's Roblox profile, linked Discord, shift time and every case.
- Watchlist. Get told the moment someone joins, and optionally kick them too.
- Bans. Everyone Uplink will turn away if they rejoin, the ban network for admins, and the mass ban and kick tools.
#Staff
- Shifts. Clock in and out, take a break, and see time per person. More below.
- Activity. A ranking of who has put the time in, with an optional weekly quota. More below.
- Departments. Rosters, ranks, callsigns and activity for each group of your players. More below.
- Leave. Ask for time away so the quota does not count against you, and answer requests (admins). More below.
- Forms. Staff applications and feedback, with a copy and paste check on every answer. More below.
- Ban appeals. A public appeal page per server, linked to the ban case, that staff accept or deny with a reason. More below.
- Discipline. Infractions, strikes, suspensions and terminations for staff (admins). More below.
- Sessions. Start and end roleplay sessions, and decide what happens at startup and shutdown. More below.
- Announce. Send a server message, a hint or a private message into the game (moderators). Admins can also set up to three auto reminders here.
#Automation
- Workflows. Build your own automations: pick what sets one off, what has to be true, and what happens. Staff can look at them, admins build them. More below.
- Notifications (admins). Your own alerts, in a channel you pick, for the things you care about. More below.
#Manage (admins)
- Import. Bring your logs over from Melonly. More below.
- Settings. The ER:LC connection and key, roles, log channels, auto-moderation, custom log types, automatic escalation and deleting the server's data.
