Using Uplink

Sessions and the live status message

On the Sessions page, in the Moderator panel, or with /session start, an admin starts a session. Admins can also pick session roles in Settings, under Roles and channels: a helper or moderator who holds one of them can start and end sessions too. With none picked, only admins can. Uplink posts an announcement with the join code in your sessions channel and pings the session role, and can also show it in the game. Ending it posts how long it lasted and how many players came at once. A session also ends by itself after ten minutes with nobody in the server. In Settings, an admin can pick a channel for a live server status message that Uplink keeps up to date every minute with the players, queue and staff online. If you pick a different channel, the old message is deleted and a new one is posted in the new channel straight away.
