When something goes wrong
What the common messages mean, and how to fix them.
| You see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Build failed: Add index.html | Studio could not find the page to open. Add index.html, or set entry in uplink.json. |
| uplink.json is not valid JSON | Fix the file. Every name and text needs double quotes, and there is no comma after the last line. |
| Could not load app.js | The link in your page does not match a file. Check the spelling and the folder. |
| This test build has expired | Test links last 2 hours. Press Run again. |
| You have used your 60 MB | Delete a project or some big files in Studio. |
| Wait for the uploads to finish | A file is still uploading in the Code step. Wait for it, or remove it. |
| 401 from the API | The key is missing, wrong, replaced or revoked. Make a new one on the API key page. |
| My app forgets everything | Browser storage is blocked on the phone. Save data on your own server instead. |
