Bot permissions

The invite asks for four permissions: view channels, send messages, embed links and manage channels. Manage Channels is only used to make the category and log channels, and you can leave it out and pick your own.

Manage Roles is asked for separately, only when you want a feature that needs it: locking chat channels at shutdown, or giving a department its Discord role. The dashboard shows a link for it where it is needed. Nothing else in Uplink uses it, and the bot's own role has to sit above any role it gives.

The bot also sends direct messages: to a server owner who is asked for support access, to people who sent a form so they hear the answer, and to staff who are disciplined. If someone's direct messages are closed, it carries on without.
