Using Uplink
Session polls
A poll lets your players vote on whether to run a session, and you choose how many votes it needs. Use /session poll with the number of votes, and a moderator can add a name, a message such as the time or the rules, and how many hours it stays open (1 to 72, 12 by default).
- Where it goes: the poll is posted in your sessions channel (or the channel you ran the command in if none is set), and pings the session role.
- Voting: people press I will be there. It is one vote each, and Take my vote back removes it. The card shows a bar, how many more are needed and who voted last.
- At the number: the poll closes, posts that it got there and pings the session role and whoever made it. Turn on start and the session is started for you with the same name and message (only admins and the session roles can make a poll that starts a session).
- Closing: any moderator can press Close poll, and it closes by itself when its hours are up. Up to three polls can be open at once.
- A poll getting its votes is also an event you can use in notifications and workflows.
